We have now passed those special markers which follow on quickly, one after the other, at this time of year: the clocks have gone back, Hallowe'en has taken place and Bonfire Night has passed, although it doesn't sound like it's completely over.
So in the run-up to Christmas, it's time to make the most of those long, dark evenings and settle down with some sewing projects - and try to finish as many as possible in the next six weeks!
We have had an interesting range of deliveries recently at Laughing Hedgehog. In stock are prints from Jan Patak's Fern Hill on the bolt, as well as Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes; and Sweetwater have a delightful set of prints for children, called The Tree House Club. New designer Debbie Maddy has produced some unusual and beautiful designs using the Shibori technique. This is a Japanese manual resist dyeing process which creates a range of patterns on fabric. The indigo shades used in this collection are rich and vibrant. We have Junior Jelly Rolls and Junior Layer Cakes, as well as a FQ Bundle, so try them out and let your imagination take over!
And finally, don't forget the great and varied range of Christmas fabrics we have, from traditional to modern and lots of designs in between. It's not too late to stitch those special gifts for family and friends, or create unique decorations for the home.
